As a consumer, in an ever-growing e-commerce world, you are always looking for assurance. You want to know that the orders you place are delivered and the online stores you visit are safe. We like to make it clear how our members ensure a pleasant and safe shopping experience. That is why we have developed assurances and badges.

An assurance is a benchmark against which we assess our members. If they have demonstrated that they can offer a certainty, we will reward them with a badge. This badge shows that the merchant has been checked on that point and meets our requirements. So you as a consumer can easily check where a store meets our requirements and what could be improved.

What kind of badges are there and what do they mean to me?

There are several badges that can be earned. Each badge has different requirements and usually has several levels. The better a shop scores, the better the badge will be displayed. Below is an overview of the badges currently available.

The review badge

From reviews you can learn as a consumer how things work at a web store. This badge can be earned by the merchant by collecting reviews. A top-level badge requires a minimum of 50 relevant reviews and an average rating of at least a nine within the last 12 months.

The Heart for Business badge

A good merchant knows what it means to provide service, take complaints seriously and act honestly and ethically. This badge can be earned by agreeing to a manifesto that defines this. A SUPER badge is available for those who share their story.

The Identity Badge

As a consumer, you want to know who you are buying from. Therefore, this badge is unlocked when all contact information is known. Thereby, data can be officially verified by mail, email and phone for the highest level of this badge.

The Dispute Mediation Badge

Problems or complaints sometimes require external mediation. In the worst cases, a legal ruling from a dispute resolution board is sometimes required. This badge shows that these issues have been made clearly available to consumers from the online store.

The Legal Badge

Legislation in e-commerce changes quickly and continuously; knowing that a merchant knows and complies with these rules is therefore important. We thoroughly inspect online stores to unlock this badge. This requires a recent inspection for the highest level.

The Safe Browsing badge

Malware and viruses are dangerous. This badge can be earned by meeting specific protection requirements, WebwinkelKeur checks this automatically. A continuous scan unlocks a SUPER badge. A webshop without this badge is not necessarily unsafe, other measures exist.
